BEHEXEN should require no introduction. One of the longest-running Finnish black metal bands, BEHEXEN have patiently spread out their album releases in such a manner that each serves as a tome, a poignant snapshot of that era of its creators, with each being unique in its headspace but undeniably coming from the same visionary minds.

Formed in 2015, BLOOD CHALICE feature among their ranks a number of Finnish metal veterans, spanning a slew of extreme styles. However, in BLOOD CHALICE, the goal has always remained firm: uncompromising, closeminded BLACK/DEATH savagery. The first strike as such came in 2016 with a self-titled demo, followed the next year by the gutsfucking debut album Sepulchral Chants of Self-Destruction. Diehards hailed the album; the rest recoiled in horror. Typical "Finnish black metal" this was not...

Originally released at the very end of 2004, back in darker times, Death Before Dishonour was the grand culmination of an intense demo period for monomaniacal mainman BlackGoat Gravedesecrator. During this period, GOATMOON exuded a ripped-raw and punk-oriented brand of Finnish black metal. Even at this stage, however, moments of iron-willed triumph 'n' tragedy - which would later blossom on subsequent albums, in a plausibly refined manner - crop up and create a unique disconnect that, somehow, is entirely Finnish. Above all, Death Before Dishonour is a distillation of times now long lost, when Finnish black metal was truly beginning to assert its dominance of the underground. WEREWOLF RECORDS is proud to present the first (and final) album from Finland's GRIEVE, Funeral. At was but 2020 when GRIEVE emerged from the darkness with their self-titled debut EP. Although otherwise meant to exist strictly in that darkness, it was soon discerned that the band included veritable Finnish black metal royalty within its ranks. Nevertheless, the swiftly uncompromising nature of Grieve was felt: Northern Black Metal Exclusively From the 1990s. No more, no less, no progression, no fun.
