Originally released at the very end of 2004, back in darker times, Death Before Dishonour was the grand culmination of an intense demo period for monomaniacal mainman BlackGoat Gravedesecrator. During this period, GOATMOON exuded a ripped-raw and punk-oriented brand of Finnish black metal. Even at this stage, however, moments of iron-willed triumph 'n' tragedy - which would later blossom on subsequent albums, in a plausibly refined manner - crop up and create a unique disconnect that, somehow, is entirely Finnish. Above all, Death Before Dishonour is a distillation of times now long lost, when Finnish black metal was truly beginning to assert its dominance of the underground. Hear where the infamy began, or move on a coward.
No other words are necessary: ancient-days Teutonic black metal continues to be on the rise, and EISENKULT are leading the charge with Vulgäre, deutsche Hassmusik!
Officially licensed release on Icarus Music Argentina. 3 bonus tracks (Reverence EP) + bonus enhanced material: Band interview on Finnish TV, Live clips from 1997-98 including the Dynamo Festival.

The definitive collection of the long out of print, cult Drudkh ep's. Including the brand new ep "Thousands of Moons ago". Digipack edition limited to first pressing.
The band plays a fast, aggressive style of black metal that would go on to be more 'polished' in later releases. But on Frühlingserwachen, the sound is still quite gritty and raw, despite decent production values, and works well with its subject matter of WWI & WWII (with some anti-religious sentiments thrown in for good measure). The band leans into this theme with vocalist Iblis credited for "propaganda" and drummer Mayhemic Destructor as "artillery," a fitting description for the drums on the album.
Across the album's 41 minute (fantastical) landscape are spread lyrics of splendorous mythology, swords & sorcery, vast forgotten realms brought to life through wily, wanderlusting black metal betraying a noble melodicism
