Official reissue of the HECATE ENTHRONED's cult second album originally released in 1998. Amazing, powerful and majestic Symphonic/Melodic Black Metal. Limited Digipak Cd edition with 12 page booklet.
This is the very first album released by true Norwegian black metallers Emperor. As one of the founding fathers of the symphonic wing of the genre, Emperor have a highly dramatic sound, balancing melodic dark synth melodies with ferocious howling forward movement. 'In The Nightside Eclipse' is reissued via ICARUS.
The band plays a fast, aggressive style of black metal that would go on to be more 'polished' in later releases. But on Frühlingserwachen, the sound is still quite gritty and raw, despite decent production values, and works well with its subject matter of WWI & WWII (with some anti-religious sentiments thrown in for good measure). The band leans into this theme with vocalist Iblis credited for "propaganda" and drummer Mayhemic Destructor as "artillery," a fitting description for the drums on the album.
FALKENBACH waren ursprünglich ein von Vratyas Vakyas konzipiertes Soloprojekt und wurden offiziell erstmals im Jahr 1995 mit dem Demo "Læknishendr" aktiv
