Atmospheric Black Metal from Germany. After years of silence Gestorben duo band formed by Geisteskrank (RÄVEN) and Kadaver come back again with this cold best traditional album.
No other words are necessary: ancient-days Teutonic black metal continues to be on the rise, and EISENKULT are leading the charge with Vulgäre, deutsche Hassmusik!
Official reissue of the majestic and melancholic masterpiece “A Requiem For The Light”. An immersive journey into Atmospheric Black Metal, where ghostly melodies drift through the void, and tortured whispers echo like forgotten prayers. Cold, emotional, and otherworldly… a requiem carved in silence and sorrow. Available in Digipak Cd, strictly limited to 300 copies.
The band plays a fast, aggressive style of black metal that would go on to be more 'polished' in later releases. But on Frühlingserwachen, the sound is still quite gritty and raw, despite decent production values, and works well with its subject matter of WWI & WWII (with some anti-religious sentiments thrown in for good measure). The band leans into this theme with vocalist Iblis credited for "propaganda" and drummer Mayhemic Destructor as "artillery," a fitting description for the drums on the album.
