Purity Through Fire

It was but a year ago when EISENKULT made their bolt-from-the-blue debut statement with ...gedenken wir der Finsternis.

Since their ...gedenken wir der Finsternis debut album in 2020, EISENKULT have quickly become a flagship band for PURITY THROUGH FIRE, which is perhaps unsurprising given that they include members of labelmates MAVORIM and TOTENWACHE.

ERNTE are True Helvetic Black Metal. After almost 20 years of creating dark ambient music, photography, painting, and graphic art, Häxär decided that it was time to return to the roots: In 2020, his long-time passion for black metal found a form of expression in ERNTE, where he is the main songwriter, guitar player, and responsible for recording and mixing. In Askahex (vocals, bass, violin), he found an appropriate and experienced co-musician. She played bass and violin in the all-girl doom band shEver before she started as frontwoman in the Swiss black-doom band Ashtar.

An aptly titled record no matter the language, Naturmystik brings together two modern stalwarts of mystical black metal. HÄXANU - whose acclaimed second album, Totenpass, was released last year by AMOR FATI - is the duo of multi-instrumentalist Alex Poole (Chaos Moon, Krieg, Skáphe, Ringarė, etc) and vocalist/lyricist L.C. of Lichmagick.

The work of one selfsame Häxär, concurrently of Ernte, HÄXÄR are a lone torch of Swiss black metal. Now, after two albums in as many years, HÄXÄR present their third album of turn-of-the-millennium nastiness: Teufelskult.
