SHIBALBA (ACHERONTAS) ist ein Projekt, dessen Hauptaugenmerk auf dem Ausdruck schamanischer, trance-ähnlicher Musik liegt, unter Verwendung von ethnischen Instrumenten und Musiktechniken, die religiösen Ritualen eigen sind. Das neue Album "Nekrologie Sinistrae (Orchestral Noise Opus I)" führt zum ersten Mal industrielle Elemente in den Sound der Band ein.
Neben traditionellen Instrumenten (wie tibetischen Hörnern & Klangschalen, Knochen & Hörnertrompeten, Darbukas, Zeremonialglocken & Gongs oder Perkussionsinstrumente aus Knochen und Schädeln) bezieht die Band zeitgenössische Synthesizer und Gitarren-Drones mit ein. Die Musik ist reich an Details und mehrdimensional, während ihr Ergebnis tief, verstörend und unbewusst ist und eine Reise in eine andere Welt bietet.
Das neue Album wurde von George Emmanuel (Lucifer's Child/ex-Rotting Christ) im Pentagram Studio in Griechenland aufgenommen, gemischt und gemastert. Giacome Del Po's Gemälde "At The Gates Of Hell" ziert das Cover-Artwork.
