This split album brings together two entities - one quite prolific, the other brand-new - in the oft-overlooked UK black metal scene

Vígljós (Old Norse for the light which is just bright enough to be able to kill a man) was founded in Basel in 2022. As of Summer 2025, it consists of four members from Germany and Switzerland, wielding guitar, drums, mellotron and vocals. They just recorded their second studio album entitled „Tome II: ignis sacer“ at Marc Obrist’s (Zeal & Ardor) Hutch Sounds in Oberwil, BL, publishing being planned for September 2025.
