Originally released as a 7” EP by WOOD-NYMPH RECORDS (Flanders) in 1996 after the vampire purge and introduction of The Black Lourde of Crucifixion, The Marauder, and Lilith to the line up.  This version includes the full ep which did not fit onto the limited 7" vinyl version.

Auch wenn die musikalischen Einflüsse hauptsächlich im Black Metal liegen, lässt sich die Band um Mastermind Niklas Kvarforth nicht auf ein Genre alleine festlegen.

"Tuiflsrijtt" is Bavarian/Austrian for “devil's ride” and associates both the Krampus runs and the history behind the Krampus figure (myth, legend and tradition). The album functions as a bridge across the borders of this world to the devil's realm and the Rauhnächte, conjuring not only the dark Krampus figure who tortures the flesh with his rods and chains and carries off the doomed souls, but also the essence of the Drude, who torments her victims, Perchten, who take the souls away to the realm of the dead and the raging demons of the Wild Hunt.

"Tuiflsrijtt" is a consistent further development of the existing concept. Atmospheric Black Metal with an old school touch of the 2nd wave, which, however, has clearly increased in speed and aggressiveness compared to previous releases.
 

Back in 1998 I stumbled upon the first Pest demo and was instantly captivated by it. The insane vocals, the crazy selfmade photos, the prominent bass guitar, the acoustic parts, just the songs in itself.

The riffing is fast, melodic, and in pure Finnish/Norwegian black metal roots heritage.

A true legend of Slavonic Black Metal

Wampyric Rites is evoked from his deep sleep in the anno MMXIX by three ghostly entities inside the desolate dungeons covered by the dust of time and drinking from the chalice the ecstasy of the ancient spirit of Black Metal and Old School Dungeon Synth resulting in his first work called Demo I.

This piece of US Black Metal History, compiling both demo recordings of Grand Belial’s Key, comes with heavy vinyl and printed inner sleeve. As long as stock lasts, we will include the LP sized booklet of the previous double lp pressing, which includes an exclusive interview, old pictures etc.

From the past comes the storms...of icy, grandiose, paradigmatically Finnish black metal, bearing the no-bullshit title of Ymir. As can be expected, YMIR's long-brewing debut album is both a summation of their sparse but no-less-considerable past and a strident extension into both present and future. Never before have the band sounded so invigorated, so robust and roiling in their sweepingly sumptuous ruminations; the aim may be for mystical black metal of a most mid-'90s vintage, but the palpable physicality present here puts Ymir in rarefied company, whether it's past or especially present. Suitably, YMIR create epic screeds which open portals of the imagination and ancient consciousness alike, reverent to the old ways of noble black metal faith but by no means tethered to reductive expression: simply put, YMIR are a black metal band and Ymir is a black metal record, but their collective scope is boundless, brave, and breathing deeply of an essence few are able to grasp in the nowadays scene.
