For a decade now, Finland's WHITE DEATH have built a small-yet-formidable canon of work that's come to define modern underground black metal in their nation. It's no secret that Finland has possessed one of the most potent black metal scenes from the early '90s onward, and with each new generation that picks up the torch, some are contenders and others are just content to uphold "the Finnish sound."

The black metal ultras of WHISKEY RITUAL are back with six roar-along anthems from the gutter. Six punky cover versions to freak out to, bursting with destructive energy and diabolically blackened - all that remains are shards and blood. And the Italian black 'n' rollers also have an important message to deliver: Fuck you!

Black Metal from Finland.

Vígljós (Old Norse for the light which is just bright enough to be able to kill a man) was founded in Basel in 2022. As of Summer 2025, it consists of four members from Germany and Switzerland, wielding guitar, drums, mellotron and vocals. They just recorded their second studio album entitled „Tome II: ignis sacer“ at Marc Obrist’s (Zeal & Ardor) Hutch Sounds in Oberwil, BL, publishing being planned for September 2025.
